Sleeping is something that every single person does, obviously. The difference with everybody is the amount of sleep that they get. Some people claim they are fine on just a few hours each night. Others say they have to get a full 8-9 hours to feel rested. Then you have those that could lay in bed and sleep all day. So with everyone having there own opinion on how much sleep is needed, the question is, how much sleep do you need?

Sleeping is vital to our overall health and well being. We spend a good portion of our life in bed sleeping. Nearly 1/3 rd  of our life will be spent sleeping. That is a huge chunk of our lives. Even though most of us know that getting a good nights sleep is important, many do not realize how much you really need. The thing is though, that depends on your age and a few other factors, the amount of sleep does vary from person to person.

Now since each person is different, there are a few things you can do or monitor to see if you are getting the proper amount of sleep each night. Below are a few questions you need to ask yourself to see if you are getting the right amount of sleep for your body.

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then chances are you are not receiving the proper amount of sleep for yourself. We all know there are not enough hours in the day but if you need to find a way to sleep an extra hour or two each night, then find a way to make it happen. If you can sleep a little longer and feel even better in the mornings, then chances are you will be more productive during the day. This way you will not need to stay awake longer to get task done because you'll have more energy during your normal hours of the day.
